Mondo Duplantis and Neeraj Chopra visit the OMEGA Masters

The Olympic athletes and OMEGA ambassadors, Mondo Duplantis and Neeraj Chopra, have made a special visit to Switzerland to experience the golfing action at this year’s OMEGA Masters tournament in Crans Montana.

Mondo was one of the most celebrated athletes at this summer’s Olympic Games, not only winning the Men’s Pole Vault gold medal, but also setting a new World Record in the process. Since then, Mondo has confirmed his champion status once again, with yet another World Record leap of 6.26m at the Silesia Diamond League.

Neeraj, a javelin gold medallist at Tokyo 2020, won silver at this summer’s Olympic Games, continuing his successful career on the world’s greatest sporting stage.

As Official Timekeeper of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, OMEGA was there to witness and record Mondo and Neeraj’s historic moments in front of a global audience.

At the OMEGA Masters, both athletes were able to relax in the beauty of the Swiss mountains. As well as playing a few golfing shots of their own, they also made a special guest appearance at OMEGA’s Saturday evening event.

Originally called the Swiss Open when it was first played in 1923, the OMEGA Masters has remained at the same venue since 1939, making it the oldest golf tournament in Europe to be played on the same course every year. OMEGA claimed the naming rights in 2001 and now considers the event to be one of the most important on its sporting calendar.
